The first couple of chapters can be intense and hold a lot of details, you have to pay attention to every word cause all the information is important to the narrative. It’s complex a first, but a joy to read. This is the first book I read by Amber Scott and also the first title of the ParaRealm series, but I’ll definitely read more! She has created a world of seekers, feeders, messengers and all kinds of believable paranormal beings.

And I can’t write this review without telling you that you’ll love the romance!

I won’t say much cause I don’t wanna ruin your experience with this book. The sexual tension is incredible, the story is amazing and, as if you needed more incentive to read it, the writing is delicious. Oh, and because you wanna find out who the hot character that appears on the cover is!

Paranormal romance with steamy scenes? Sold! Although this book breaks some of my reading rules (there are airships now?!), I devoured it pretty quickly. I wish there was a follow up book available, but instead I'll jump to another one of Amber Scott's book that I've had sitting on my kindle for a while. I loved the main relationship and am eager to read more about Lyric! The only trouble I had was with the quick reversal of Heather's character. I guess it was needed, but seemed way too rushed. Oh well -- bring on the next book!
I couldnt get enough! Usually I hate cliff hangers, but I am so glad this story is not finished. I need more! The romance side of Sadie and Elijah can be done here, but I got so wrapped up in the whole plot, that I cant wait to see the whole outcome!

Sadie and Elijah were so smokin' together. Add in the rest of the characters, and you have a whole lot of sex appeal!

Amber Scott, where oh where is Stealing Dusk?
Didn't finish this one and no plans to finish it either. For me it was boring, a little on the confusing side and both the storyline and the main characters made me skip pages just to find a part worth reading. It felt like the author was trying to create another Twilight type series and in my opinion that series didn't work either.
This book has an interesting premise and I think with some time on the chopping block it could be every bit as good as the one's we see on the NYT list. I felt that the author did a good job of building a story, but it just wasn't fleshed in enough to make sense. I think sometimes, that authors tend to forget when they create a character, that we do not imagine them the way that they did. We only have to work with whatever the author gives us in the way of details, history and description. If the author starts in the middle, so will we. Particularly in books that deal with fantasy, if you have a special something that does a whoopdeedoo and you don't describe how or why it does it, we might lose interest wasting our time trying to put together pieces that just don't quite fit.

I realize that writing a book is a long process and that editing is intense. This is why the MS should always be looked at by someone trusted but who is not afraid to be brutally honest. I felt as if I were missing chunks of this story as I read it. I think the author may need to do a few rewrites to this book before people truly feel that they are being invited in to enjoy the story. The book is not terrible and I think it has the potential to be much better than it is.
3.8 out of 5 stars!!!!!!!!!!! This is an intriguing new series with a storyline that hooked me from the beginning. This series seems like a mixture of Cassandra Clare's Mortal Instruments series, the X-Men, and R. G. Alexander's Children of the Goddess series all wrapped up in a new different and exciting way!!

The characters are great to read, I loved the back stories and the twists that came along the way! I'm really curious as to what will happen next ... to Elijah's friends (new and old) and to Sadie's family. Also .... to see how/if Sadie's powers will grow!! I do hope that even though in the coming books in this series Sadie & Elijah will be secondary characters, I hope that they will still have decent size rolls in the series. Since my only problem with this novel was even though it ended really good, I still thought it ended too soon ... plus the cliff hanger (of sorts) in the epilogue really doesn't help much at all. =0/
